In December we teamed up with Baby Bank Network Exeter to help families in need by collecting everyday essentials. The theme was the 12 Days of Christmas, with each day representing an item. So instead of three French hens, it was three baby blankets and so on!
The Baby Bank Network Exeter is led by Kate and her trusty canine assistant Ollie, supported by over 35 volunteers. Operating entirely on donations and grants, they work tirelessly to alleviate child poverty within 30 miles of Exeter.
Demand has been growing rapidly, with over 90 families supported in the month of November alone.
In December, Kate joined us for a Watch & Learn session at our office to explain how the service works. A small group of ATASS volunteers also visited Baby Bank HQ to help sort donations and put together Christmas gift bags.
Thanks to the generosity of our team, we collected an incredible amount of donations (pictured above right).
We’re looking forward to heading back to the bank in 2026 for more volunteering to support the amazing team that keep this invaluable local service running.
