Taking Aim

The Olympic Games are certainly the biggest showcase for the Shooting and Archery events. Can today's events see the South Korean Women's Trio add to their impressive medal collection?

Today's Women's Team Archery features the South Korean Women's Trio which, admittedly with changing personnel, have achieved what even the mighty Sir Steven Geoffrey Redgrave just couldn't manage (true, it might have been asking a bit much) - namely six consecutive gold medals!

Despite achieving such domination this amazing team will need to overcome a serious challenge from others - USA, Russia and Mexico, to name a few - all hungry to break their Olympic duck.  For that reason we're predicting only a 65% chance of another bullseye result for the South Koreans.

We think the Women's Air Pistol event will be the most openly contested event of the day, yes, this one really is a crapshoot.  We calculate five competitors all possess a greater than 10% chance of walking away with the little yellow disc.

Team GB supporters should be looking to the pool for medals today with only a 20% chance of no podium finishes at the Aquatics Centre.
